India's hospitality industry witnessed a major expansion push as hotel companies and developers signed agreements covering nearly 10,000 rooms during October 2026. IHCL, Lemon Tree Hotels and Brigade Group accounted for over 7,000 planned rooms. Much of the expansion is focused on Tier-II and Tier-III cities, pilgrimage destinations and airport hubs, highlighting the increasing importance of domestic travel and emerging hospitality markets.
